Directional Correlation De-interlacing (DCDi)
DCDi is a specialized video processing developed by Faroudja that involves advanced algorithms to remove the jagged edges that appear when standard interlaced video is viewed on progressive scan displays.
DCDi converts standard interlaced signals into progressive scan signals in order to eliminate the stair casing effect that conventional up-converters can introduce to diagonal edges.
