The HD Radio-Ready logo means that this product has been designed to be upgradeable with HD Radio reception.
HD Radio technology enables the reception of high-quality digital AM and FM stations. Broadcast simultaneously with traditional analog signals, HD Radio signals provide crystal-clear CD-quality sound, program information (e.g.artist, song title, station, etc.), and multiple channels of programming (aka multicasting) on the same FM frequency all subscription free.
