If I had to choose, I would opt for the McIntosh MA5200 which is around $4,500. While it is still very expensive compared to other brands, it’s one of the cheapest McIntosh models and price/quality ratio is excellent. This offers a sound quality you won’t find in any other model priced below this one (no matter the brand).

Had a chance to listen to it and it’s amazing. I know it’s expensive for most people but the sound quality is unmatched by anything under $3000.
