Fire breathing monsters! Audio giant Klipsch has introduced its next-generation flagship speaker, confirming the immediate availability of its RF-7 III and RC-64 III speakers.
These are updated models of its top-tier offerings.
And both offer impressive specifications, and frequency responses right near the top.
For example, RF-7 III floorstanding speaker weighs in at the 95 pounds, and features a 1.75” titanium compression-driver Tractrix horn-loaded tweeter that the company says includes a new phase plug sporting geometry to improve sound pressure linearity at high frequencies.
The RF-7 III has a claimed frequency response of 32 Hz to 25 kHz +/-3 dB with 100 dB sensitivity (2.83 V/1M) and 8-ohm compatibility. Power handling is listed as 250 watts continuous, with 1000-watt peaks.
While the RC-64 III has a specified frequency response of 57 Hz to 24 kHz +/-3 dB. It comes with a rated sensitivity of 99 dB (2.83 V/1M) and power handling is listed as 200 watts continuous with 800-watt peaks.
As Kerry Geist, product manager at Klipsch Group, put it:
“These speakers have earned the nickname ‘firebreathing monsters’ for a reason. They are the best sounding audio files speaker at this price point.”
Both these new speaker models are available in three finishes, namely Black Ash, Cherry, and Walnut.
The Klipsch RF-7 III and RC-64 III are both available now, for $1799 and $1499 respectively, from authorized retailers as well as the company’s official website.
