It’s finally happened! The highly anticipated Klipsch Reference Theater Pack 5.1 speaker system is now shipping, with the company officially announcing its arrival.
This is designed to be a compact, all-in-one 5.1 surround-sound speaker system that retails for $999.
Klipsch pitches it as the easiest way for users to get into its Reference line of home theater-friendly speakers, with this speaker kit offering both the advantage of compact size and the simplicity of a prepackaged system.
All you need to do here is throw in an AV receiver and speaker cable, and you’re golden!
There are seven items total included in the Reference Theater Pack — four satellite speakers and a center channel unit, which are all equipped with a 3.5” woofers and 0.75″ aluminum horn-loaded tweeters.
Deep bass is provided via the included down firing 8″ ported 50-watt subwoofer, which has a 150 peak, and there’s also a wireless transmitter to complete the deal. The subwoofer also includes line level RCA inputs, for stereo and LFE, in addition to wireless.
It measures 13.25″ x 11.75″ x 11.75″, and weighs in at 15 pounds. The satellites measuring 7.75″ x 4.38″ x 5.37″ while weighing 3 pounds. While the center measures 4.38″ x 10.75″ x 5.37″ and comes in at a a weight of 5 pounds.
As you can see, compact dimensions are a main selling point of this impressive system.
The idea being that users beat the performance of any home theater in a box type system with this setup. The Reference Theater Pack certainly makes for a very appealing option for buyers that want performance with simplicity.
